What is a proxie?
In terms of Magic the Gathering a proxie is a card that represents another card. For our Vintage (Type 1) proxie tournaments a proxie must be:

  • Back of a Magic the Gathering Card.
  • Name of the represented card written clearly above the words "Magic the Gathering" on the back of the card.
  • Casting Cost written on the top right hand side of the back of the card.
    • B = Black mana symbol
    • U = Blue mana symbol
    • G = Green mana symbol
    • R = Red mana symbol
    • W = White mana symbol
    • # = Colorless mana symbol
  • Power and toughness written on the bottom right hand side of the back of the card.
    • Written with the Power / Toughness
  • You can only use proxies if you are useing opaque card sleeves
  • Finished Product should look like this:

If you are not sure if your proxies have been created correctly you should ask the head judge before the tournament starts, to avoid confusion.
