What is a proxie?
In terms of Magic the Gathering a proxie is a card that represents another card. For our Vintage (Type 1) proxie tournaments a proxie must be:
- Back of a Magic the Gathering Card.
- Name of the represented card written clearly above the words "Magic the Gathering" on the back of the card.
- Casting Cost written on the top right hand side of the back of the card.
- B = Black mana symbol
- U = Blue mana symbol
- G = Green mana symbol
- R = Red mana symbol
- W = White mana symbol
- # = Colorless mana symbol
- Power and toughness written on the bottom right hand side of the back of the card.
- Written with the Power / Toughness
- You can only use proxies if you are useing opaque card sleeves
- Finished Product should look like this:
If you are not sure if your proxies have been created correctly you should ask the head judge before the tournament starts, to avoid confusion.
