Big J's Big Deck

Please note that big deck was originally designed to be played with multiple players and is best played as such. Also, altough these cards are not banned they do make the game not fun: Armageddon, Jokulhaups, Desolation Angel and similar cards. Remember this is supposed to be fun!

Deck Construction

  • Highlander - No more than one of any card (including relentless rats) except basic land (forest, island, mountain,plains swamp) and snow-covered basic land (snow-covered forest, snow-covered island, snow-covered mountain, snow-covered plains, now-covered swamp).
  • Deck Prerequisite Exactly 20 cards of each color, 20 artifacts & 80 land. Multi-color cards account for any one color among colors in its casting cost.
  • Card Pool - You may use cards from any Magic the Gathering set as well as any Magic the Gathering promotional card. You may use any card the day you get it, no waiting period.

  • Enter the Dungeon
Rules
  • 7 Land Mulligan - if your opening hand has seven land you can opt for a free mulligan.
  • 6 Land Mulligan - if your opening hand has six land you can opt for a free mulligan.
  • 1 Land Mulligan - if your opening hand has only 1 land you can opt for a free mulligan.
  • 0 Land Mulligan - if your opening hand has no land you can opt for a free mulligan.
  • Friendly Mulligan - you can mulligan once for any reason you want.
  • Other Mulligans are penalized one card just like in tournament play.
  • This format is supposed to be fun!
